Building a successful brand means your work is easily recognisable and there is a coherence throughout your projects. Hiring the same photographer is only one part of the puzzle. Before the shoot, we discuss your overall brand and clientele, as well as the specific details of the current project. When I arrive to the shoot, I see myself not just as a vendor for that day, but a partner of your business. I shoot with artistic flair showcasing the highlights of the space and also consider where these set of images sit in your overall brand. The result: a coherent visual legacy across your projects.
The images you showcase should capture not only your design sensibilities but also the essence of the space and how your clients feel and live in them.
THE PROCESS
1 First Call
This is your time to tell me EVERYTHING! What you hope to achieve from the shoot, the areas you want to focus on, what you are most proud of and even vent about that builder that just delayed you for the third time!
2 PREPARATION
We’ll have discussed things like styling and the plan for the day but I like to send you a checklist to refer back to. If it’s your first time shooting it can be a little overwhelming.
3 PHOTOSHOOT
The best bit! Having been through all our prep and agreed on a plan, the shoot day should be the fun bit. We’ll have a walk through where you can go over the design elements and we can see how the light is doing that day. Then we go room by room, styling, taking some test shots, to see how that cushion is looking, then take those million pound shots!
4 IMAGE DELIVERY
I will send you the rough edits for you to make your selection. I aim to do this within 24 hours. When you make your selection I’ll also ask you to give me any notes you may have. This could be anything from wanting an image brighter to removing a crayon mark on the wall left by the owners three year old! I will then send you the images for your approval. I offer two rounds of edits so it’s at this stage you zoom in and see if there’s anything more you’d like altering. And then....I send you the final images!
